KaraKu, in collaboration with Japanese painter Alaya, presents an art collection themed around the “vitality of life.” Colorful fish motifs are translated onto shirts and T-shirts, achieving a seamless fusion of art and fashion.

Based on the theme of “vitality of life,” this design recreates the texture of traditional Japanese painting, with pointillist detailing and subtle color gradations on each scale, evoking the feel of mineral pigments used in nihonga (Japanese-style painting).

While rooted in traditional motifs, vibrant accents such as fluorescent pink and cyan-like hues are introduced, creating a contemporary “NEW JAPAN” aesthetic that blends naturally into urban environments.

The large, flowing tail fin curves dynamically toward the right, capturing a sense of speed as the fish powerfully swims through water. The “Karaku” logo, layered across the fish’s body, acts as a guiding visual line that enhances the sense of motion and unifies the overall graphic composition.
